Okay alot of small, i mean primary six students living nearby asking me about secondary school system whenever they bump into me outside.. Okay. Firstly N foremost, there are 3 streams in secondary school.
1.Express Stream-Best
2.Normal Academic Stream-Average
3.Normal Technical Stream-Worst
Okay so before you enter secondary 3, you will have promotion streaming. For normal acad and normal tech students, you remain what you are and only 20% hope of entering into polytechnic otherwise thrown into ITE.. The worst vocational institute in S’pore. Oops :p okay moving on. For express stream, divided into 3 again…
1.Pure Science Student-first class
2.Combined Science-second class
3.6 subject option-third class(worst)
So you will have to make a choice and the head of department will see if you are qualified to enter any of the above. From then on after you take your O levels, at 16.. You make a choice.. Poly or Junior College. For junior college, you have to be outstanding.. For polytechnic, take diploma then chiow.
After entering college for two years, you will sit for A level examination-higher studies. Then straightaway go to the university of your choice.. Take degree or masters or bachelors or Phds.. If you go to poly, take diploma.. Its too common in S’pore. People will think twice to take you for a career in their endeavour. If ITE, woosh. “good luck”. its the end.

Haha okay seriously my english sucks above. And as for me, I’m in pure science stream.. Taking pure physics and pure chemistry. intend to go junior college and take master in aerospace engineering. otherwise mechanical engineering.
